Lubricating your cube is the trick to getting your cube to turn super fast. After lubricating your cube you will be able to turn the faces more fluidly enabling you to reap the benefits of finger tricks. Finger tricks are simply learning the algorisms in a way that allow your fingers to turn and flick the faces of the cube quickly instead of using your whole hand to turn a face.
